Become an e2 Citizen

The Salt Lake City ENVIRONMENTALLY and ECONOMICALLY sustainable (e2) Citizen program is designed to educate and support City residents who take steps in their own lives to address climate change and the further degradation of our planet. Click here to sign up.

Earth to Salt Lake City. . .

Are you tired of being run over by politics, energy bills, and the decisions that your friends, leaders, and even YOU make that degrade your quality of life? Then become an e2 Citizen.

Ten minutes is all you need to commit to ways to save money, improve the environment, and contribute to a better future.

Sustainability: Please commit to at least five things you can do to ensure a sustainable future. You can include things you're already doing or have done, but try to commit to at least three new goals from the following categories as well.

  • transportation
  • energy conservation
  • reduce, reuse, recycle
  • water conservation
  • food
  • health
  • community education

Good information may help you make your selections and will give you resources to help meet your goals. To learn about these seven categories click here.

e2 Citizens: save resources, save money, save the planet

Setting goals is the first step toward YOUR helping to solve the problems facing our planet. This is much better than hiding under the bed and shivering in fear after your fifth viewing of "An Inconvenient Truth."

Click here for a list of goals, arranged according to the seven sustainability categories to the left.
